Paris Fashion Week never fails to impress. This time, Chanel caught everyone’s attention with an amazing runway show that brought the beach straight to the catwalk.
Paris’s Grand Palais was transformed into Chanel by The Sea, a sandy and serene beach getaway, including the ocean’s waves, a beach cabana, on-duty lifeguard and a mini boardwalk, where Karl showed up at the end for a final bow.
Models walked barefoot through the sand, carrying their shoes in their hands. There were lots of straw hats, swimsuits, colorful sundresses and belts with Chanel’s logo on them. Chanel’s signature tweed suit was also reinvented for the occasion, to fit into the whole summer, laid back feeling. Oversized blazers and matching print sweater sets completed the looks.
As far as accessories go, there were lots of colorful logo sandals, in pink or blue and a classic black and white logo flat that will surely be seen a lot next season. In terms of bags, the models carries not one, but two Chanel bags at a time, proving once again that fashion rules are made to be broken.
