This year, culinary masterminds from five continents gathered in Bilbao, Spain, for the famous award ceremony that each year names the best 50 restaurants in the world.
This year’s champion was Italy’s famous Osteria Francescana and head chef Massimo Bottura, whose amazing recipes brought him back to the first place, which he first held in 2016.
“We built this together. I’m not going to disappoint you, I’m going to show the world that chefs in 2018 are much more than the sum of their recipes if we stay together.” said Bottura.
Osteria Fancescana owns 3 Michelin stars and is known for its original dishes suck as “Autumn in New York” or “Oops, I Dropped the Lemon Tart,”.
Eleven Madison Park, last year’s winner, was bumped all the way to the fourth position, mostly due to being closed part of the year for renovations.
