Climate change, coupled with the socio-economic effects of the COVID 19 pandemic, is a wake-up call to the need to be involved in preventing or mitigating the devastating effects of these phenomena.

Together, the production of electricity and heat and the transport sector are responsible for over 80% of greenhouse gases emitted in Europe. To reduce them, it is necessary to make the transition as fast as possible from energy polluting sources – those based on fossil fuels – to clean and sustainable ones from renewable sources.

The most important event dedicated to alternative transport solutions and related infrastructure, Sustainable Mobility Forum brings together Romanian and foreign specialists in the fields of automotive, energy, technology, but also representatives of state institutions, with the common goal of communicating and debating views, experiences and perspectives on the measures and actions taken in the direction of creating and integrating a sustainable ecosystem.

This year’s series of discussions on sustainable mobility and related infrastructure was opened on October 21, with debates in the area of alternative transport solutions and related infrastructure. The October session brought to the table the important actors in the governmental and business area, gathered to respond to the problems we are currently facing, regarding the COVID 19 pandemic and the importance of a sustainable, resilient and safe transport.
