Apple Inc announced that it will be hosting a special event on September 12, at the Steve Jobs Theater in the company’s Cupertino, California, campus, where it is widely expected to unveil new iPhone models.
According to most of the analysts, Apple will release three new smartphones this year, including one that will feature a larger display than previous models. The company is also expected to release an iPhone with a similar edge-to-edge display as the X model, but using less-costly LCD screen technology.
The invitation fueled lots of speculations on the Internet – many fans expect a gold-coloured successor of the iPhone X, since the invitation made heavy use of this particular shade.
Apple is also said to be releasing a new model of the Apple Watch, one with a larger display.
Judging by the fact that Apple usually releases their new products in the second week of September (just in time for the holiday shopping season), it is very likely for the rumors to become true.
